Matt and Amy had such a beautiful wedding in a very unique location… their front porch.  At the end of March, Trisha and I spent the day with them and their families in North Little Rock.  We began the day with Amy and her girls at the Baker House Bed and Breakfast and then moved on to the ceremony at their house.  I absolutely loved this ceremony.  A very intimate, family-only ceremony on their porch, with the guests sitting on white chairs in the middle of their street.  I don’t think they could have found a better spot.

It was such a wonderful moment, when during the exchanging of vows, Amy bent down and gave her vows to the groom’s daughter as well.  That was just too cool.

We finished the evening up at Argenta Seafood Company for the reception.  If you are ever in the NLR area, stop in and check them out.  Awesome place that gave us the opportunity for some great photographs.

It amazes me, each time it happens, that another year has passed. Now, eleven years have passed. Saturday we cleaned out the studio, moved the lights into the dressing room, invited a bunch of girls and Erin had a birthday party. I don’t know how they managed to dance for so long, but they never stopped. It seemed as if they would never run down… and they didn’t.

So, for our family who couldn’t be here, we’re posting a few of the photos from the party. The studio is all put back together, the chips are vacuumed up, the plastic cups have been gotten rid of, the tables put back, the pizza boxes are gone, all the girls have gone home and now all I’m left with is the realization that Erin is a little older. I thought her childhood would last forever, but it’s quickly passing. While I’m thrilled that I get the chance to share these moments with my kids, it kills me to know that years from now I’ll have only memories and photos to look back on and recall what has passed. Hopefully she’ll look back at the pictures and remember these events as fondly as her mother and I do.

This was a first for our studio. We’ve photographed siblings, we’ve had boyfriends tag along for senior sessions, but prior to this, we’d never had a pet chicken. It was actually pretty cool. Marlena showed up at our studio and I had no idea what I was in for. This girl has such a cool personality and then she raised the bar a bit by introducing us to her pet, Disco.

Patrick is in love. … or at least he appears to be. The guy never stopped smiling the entire time we were photographing him and Jill.

I met Jill last year at her brother’s wedding that I photographed in Little Rock. Now, I get the opportunity to hang out with her family again, and I can’t wait. I recently met Jill and her mother in Little Rock to do Jill’s bridal session, but that will have to wait for now. Currently, we’re focusing on their engagement photos. Dean walks into the studio and immediately seemed as if he had been a long time acquaintance. Normally I’ve got a bit of work to do to get the subject relaxed and willing to play, but with Dean that wasn’t needed. This guy was the one who was making me laugh throughout the entire shoot.
